Information on visiting the dentist for children
Have your child undergo the first follow-up examination before treatment is needed. The visit to the dentist will then be associated with a positive experience in the future. Please avoid comments such as “it doesn’t hurt”. Statements like this quickly provoke negative feelings. Also, avoid words such as “fear”, “squirt” or “drill” and prefer to speak of “tooth falling asleep”. Try to be positive yourself, this will encourage your child that nothing can happen to him.
Child-friendly treatment with respect
Instruments and treatments are documented by us with child-friendly terms. Children who are unwilling to receive treatment are not persuaded or detained by us. We respect your child's boundaries. With a lot of patience and empathy, we do everything we can to ensure that your child comes to us without fear.
Jaw regulation by colleagues
If a jaw regulation (braces) is required, we refer your child to specialists in orthodontics. Accompanying orthodontic therapy, we monitor any treatment needs (tartar removal, caries prophylaxis, dental check-ups, etc.).
