Childs

Within the framework of dental treatment for families, we rely on a concept for respectful, child-oriented and empathetic treatment of children. It is particularly important for us to strengthen the personal responsibility of children and adolescents and to motivate them for oral hygiene at home.

Treatment in children with heart and concept

  • Suitable for children and with a lot of empathy

Treatments for children place special demands on the dental team. We know this as treating dentists and as parents! Our personal goal is therefore to create trust. Child-friendly, playful and with a lot of empathy, we respond to our youngest and youngest patients and take away the worry and uncertainty of visiting the dentist.

Individual precautionary programme

Everyone wants beautiful, healthy teeth and gums for life. Children's and adolescents' teeth require very special care and you can never start too early! In addition to daily teeth cleaning, a healthy diet and regular dental check-ups, we offer our little and youngest patients an individual preventive programme. Our prophylaxis staff patiently introduce the children to dental care in an age-appropriate manner. It is especially important to us to strengthen the children's and adolescents' personal responsibility and to motivate them to maintain oral hygiene at home - so that their teeth and gums remain healthy into adulthood.

Early dental examination programme

  • free of charge for legally insured children

Our smallest patients (from the first tooth break through to 6 years of age) are included in our early examination program. This benefit is also free of charge for legally insured children.

In addition, we offer all children an advanced professional preventive programme. This exceeds the benefits of the statutory health insurance funds and additionally includes: Long-term protection by applying a special antibacterial varnish (Cervitec) and custom-made fluoridation rails for home melt curing (for children and adolescents particularly at risk of caries).

Prophylaxis for children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 years

  • Coverage of costs by statutory health insurance companies

Our basic care program (child prophylaxis) is taken over by the statutory health insurance companies. Children and adolescents from 6 to 18 years old can participate free of charge.

Every 6 months, the plaque on the teeth is removed, followed by intensive cleaning of all smooth surfaces with subsequent high-gloss polishing. The optimal tooth brushing technique and the causes of caries development are explained.
Finally, the enamel is fluoridated to make it more resistant to caries bacteria. Small and large molars are often particularly susceptible to caries due to their grooves and pits. These niches are ideal hiding places for bacteria. If necessary, these caries-prone areas are effectively coated with a protective varnish for the long term.

Information on visiting the dentist for children

Have your child undergo the first follow-up examination before treatment is needed. The visit to the dentist will then be associated with a positive experience in the future. Please avoid comments such as “it doesn’t hurt”. Statements like this quickly provoke negative feelings. Also, avoid words such as “fear”, “squirt” or “drill” and prefer to speak of “tooth falling asleep”. Try to be positive yourself, this will encourage your child that nothing can happen to him.

Child-friendly treatment with respect

Instruments and treatments are documented by us with child-friendly terms. Children who are unwilling to receive treatment are not persuaded or detained by us. We respect your child's boundaries. With a lot of patience and empathy, we do everything we can to ensure that your child comes to us without fear.

Jaw regulation by colleagues

If a jaw regulation (braces) is required, we refer your child to specialists in orthodontics. Accompanying orthodontic therapy, we monitor any treatment needs (tartar removal, caries prophylaxis, dental check-ups, etc.).
