Sensitive, considerate and with time

  • Treatment for patients with fear of the dentist

Many people are afraid of going to the dentist or of long sessions, which prevents some from going in for long-overdue treatment. The cause of "dental fear" is usually uncertainty, bad experiences or lack of education.

Where does the fear of dental treatment come from?

Patients often have the feeling that they are at the mercy of the doctor who is treating them. This is often because they cannot speak during the treatment and additionally cannot see what the doctor is doing. In addition, they cannot make out the sounds of many devices. This gives them the feeling that they have no control over the situation and creates fear. If other people in the environment have reported traumatic experiences of going to the dentist, this can increase the fear even more. The fear that the dental treatment could be painful leads to real anticipatory anxiety.

How do we deal with your dental anxiety?

We are particularly sensitive to the wishes and needs of patients with dental anxiety. We attach great importance to a relaxed and calm atmosphere in which you as a patient feel well taken care of.

All treatment steps are explained to you before, during and after the treatment. By asking questions during the treatment, we give you the opportunity to pause the treatment briefly to relieve the tension. We take enough time for your dental treatment to avoid unnecessary pressure and stress.

In addition, we offer all treatment steps in laughing gas sedation with modern technology and trained staff in our practice.
